Nexon’s Embark Studios-developed ‘ARC Raiders’ and ‘THE FINALS’ are expanding into film and television.
According to a report by Variety, Nexon has partnered with Chernin Entertainment, the production company behind ‘The Backrooms’, to pursue film and TV adaptation projects for Embark Studios-developed ‘ARC Raiders’ and ‘THE FINALS’. Chernin Entertainment was selected as the lead producer for both IPs following a competitive bidding process among multiple production companies and studios.
Chernin Entertainment has been involved in producing numerous films, including this year’s box-office hit horror movie ‘The Backrooms’, the ‘Planet of the Apes’ reboot series, the ‘Fear Street’ series, and Netflix’s ‘The Last House’. In addition, it has also produced television series such as Apple TV+’s ‘See’ and Netflix’s ‘The Madness’.
‘ARC Raiders’ is a multiplayer extraction adventure game that tells the story of people living underground to escape the threat of ARC, a mysterious mechanical force on a desolate future Earth, who become Raiders and head back to the surface. Released on October 30, 2025, the game has surpassed 16.3 million cumulative copies sold globally.
‘THE FINALS’ is a free-to-play FPS where teams compete in destructible virtual arenas modeled after iconic locations around the world. It features an environmental destruction system that allows players to destroy walls, leverage surrounding objects, and directly alter the battlefield structure to tackle matches in various ways. Released in December 2023, the game has maintained continuous seasonal updates.

The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm.
